I’ve been very absent from my blog. I’m sorry 😦 I finally got my dream of dedicated time to sew and I thought I would have tons of time to keep on top of my blog etc. In reality the extra time got eaten up by custom quilts and orders! I’ve been busy to say the least! I’m excited to get back some photos of my quilts this week and will be showing them off on here.
But I’m having a custom item sale! Head on over to my facebook page for the details http://www.facebook.com/fabricheart and see for yourself. I will only be taking custom orders until Dec 1st. After that time just my current inventory will be available.
It’s a great day to start sewing again. Working on my favourite block for my Mum’s quilt.
The best audience in the world.
I’m just going to come out and say it. I have an addiction. It started out innocent enough a few balls of yarn here a couple of ounces of roving and then it started to change. I started to inherit people’s stashes, then I started to scour the local thrift shops. I was addicted to knitting, crocheting and spinning. Then I realized there was a whole other world of fabric out there. Then I found my true passion/addiction. FABRIC! I can’t get enough of it. I dream about it. I want to surround myself with it. I can find almost any excuse to buy fabric. I practically cry when I enter a well stocked fabric shop.
I have come to terms with the fact that I cannot support my hording of fabric financially. So I came up with a solution. I will buy fabric, make things with it and sell them. Or at least try. So here is may attempt at completing this. On my etsy shop (fabricshop.etsy.com) I will be selling things I have made with fabric and eventually will be carrying various fabrics to sell. Check in often and I will try to get this thing going.
